Arasakio will support the handover through that date

### SIP Impact
If SIP-39 is approved, the following applies:
* DAO activities pause (no new SIP intake, no new programmes).
* Existing SIPs are handled per the rules above (continue through Q1 2026 where applicable; terminate/cancel SIP-26, SIP-33, SIP-36).
* Responsibilities transition to The Sandbox team; Arasakio provides handover support through 31 March 2026.

### Benefit to The Sandbox Ecosystem
**Time and Space to Align with The Sandbox 3.0 Vision**
The Sandbox ecosystem is entering a new phase with The Sandbox 3.0 and a pause allows the DAO to reassess its purpose, structure, and tooling in light of where the platform is heading. Thus, any future activity can be designed to meaningfully support creators, players, and builders in the context of the updated product vision.

**Avoidance of Rushed or Misaligned Funding Decisions**
By halting new SIP intake and funding decisions, the DAO avoids committing resources to initiatives that may no longer fit the evolving ecosystem. This reduces the risk of funding projects that struggle to deliver impact or become obsolete shortly after approval.

**Responsible Wind-Down of Existing Commitments**
SIP-39 provides a structured approach to handling existing SIPs - allowing contracted or in-progress initiatives to complete where appropriate, while responsibly winding down others according to their terms. This avoids abrupt disruption while still prioritizing clear scope and controlled commitments..

**Preservation of Community Assets & Treasury Value**
Pausing SIP intake and DAO operations reduces the DAO’s operational footprint. By limiting activity to only what is required for compliance and asset stewardship, more of the DAO’s remaining resources are preserved for future use rather than consumed by ongoing operations.
### Risk analysis
|Risk|Why|Mitigation|
| --- | --- | --- |
|Confusion for the community|DAO pause and SIP terminations may be perceived as de-prioritization or “closing” the DAO.|Communicate scope clearly, publish consolidated SIP status table, run one structured AMA|
|Contractual disputes|Any termination of existing contracts can create legal risk|If applicable, follow contract notice terms and document pro-rata close-out; direct outreach to affected authors|
|Operational risk during transition|Access, custody, banking, accounting tooling changes|Structured handover plan through 31 March 2026; minimum tools retained where needed|
|Fragmented narrative across channels|Conflicting statements amplify backlash|Single forum thread as source of truth and limited spokespeople|

## Budget requested
**44,400 USD.**
Cost of maintaining the DAO assets by The Sandbox team for 1 year (expiring 25th February 2027). The Metaverse Odyssey could give the DAO a proven model to onboard both brands and players, one of the biggest growth drivers for The Sandbox. It directly serves the DAO’s mission: empowering creators, strengthening the ecosystem, and proving The Sandbox’s long-term value as the metaverse of choice. |
| How | We will run a 1-month season of gamified events in The Sandbox, combining weekly game nights, brand-driven narratives, live streams, and custom partner integrations - demonstrating that independent studios can leverage The Sandbox to deliver community-engagement campaigns for a total cost of 12,000 USD |
| When | Event Series starts in December 2025 |
| Who | Robin, project leader, responsible for design, coordination, and delivery of the Metaverse Odyssey, [Mayeul](https://www.linkedin.com/in/mayeulhp/), CTO, skills in technical pipeline optimization to ensure smooth production, reliable builds, and seamless integration of branded content. |

## Council Recommandation
Neutral

## SIP Details

### Problem Description

While The Sandbox has strong tools and an active community, brand onboarding remains complex and underutilized. Many external brands struggle to see how they can integrate meaningfully into the ecosystem, and creators lack a clear, replicable framework to run successful campaigns independently. At the same time, players need fresh, engaging events that keep them active while attracting new participants from outside The Sandbox.

Brand integrations are almost exclusively handled by The Sandbox’s internal team, which limits opportunities for creators to build successful businesses within the metaverse and runs counter to its core value of decentralization.

Without a proven community-led model, brand activations risk being more and more isolated, resource-heavy, and difficult to replicate; limiting growth for creators, brands, and the ecosystem as a whole.

### Solution Proposed

The ‘Metaverse Odyssey - The Sandbox Edition’ is a gamified brand experience designed to demonstrate The Sandbox’s unmatched potential to onboard both brands and players through immersive storytelling, social events, and brand integrations.

**Our objective:**

* Host a season (1 month) of Metaverse Odyssey events in The Sandbox, blending community competition with brand-driven narratives.
* Actively convert game night participants and brand partners into long-term members of The Sandbox ecosystem.
* Create weekly original game nights to stimulate The Sandbox community (to be streamed on X & twitch)
* Deliver a custom experience that highlights The Sandbox’s creative flexibility and allows for partner integration.
* Leverage this event to spot active TSB players & creators, and allow them to win a ‘Tiny Fighters’ community members pass.

By offering a low-risk, high-reward entry point for brands, The Odyssey becomes a live case study proving how The Sandbox can seamlessly integrate external brands, energize the ecosystem & attract new active players.

All creators required for this project will be sourced directly from The Sandbox community. If their skills match the project’s needs, we will prioritize collaborating with the “Tiny Creators", a trusted network of builders and artists from our brand, ensuring both quality delivery and community empowerment. Among them, we’re happy to work with Sanctum, Sebga, XtremArcader and more!

(See exactly what Tiny Creator means, and how you can join [here](https://pitch.com/v/tiny-creator-deal-i8y96y))

### Benefit to The Sandbox Ecosystem

The Odyssey serves as a proof-of-concept activation that can be replicated to onboard multiple brands and their audiences at scale, with a community-centric perspective.

### For Creators

* Opportunities to collaborate on branded projects, bringing revenue and visibility.
* Proof they can independently lead brand campaigns, unlocking new business opportunities.
* Leverage this case study to build their own campaigns.
* Recognition through event highlights and social media exposure.

### For The Sandbox

* Demonstration of impactful community-led brand activations, strengthening credibility.
* A healthier, decentralized ecosystem where creators, brands, and players thrive together.
* Sustained visibility across multiple channels, amplifying reach.
* Growth in active users and stronger community stickiness.

### For Brands

* A clear integration cycle from concept to in-game presence, reducing onboarding friction.
* Direct exposure to engaged gaming communities beyond The Sandbox.
* Continuous visibility through repurposed content across social media.
* Built-in utility for their actual community members, through gaming.

### For Players

* Access to fresh, high-quality brand experiences inside The Sandbox.
* Fun and socially engaging events that encourage long-term retention.
* A sense of belonging as their participation is highlighted in community content.
* A richer catalog of unique, community-built worlds to explore.

Since the creation of the [Tiny Fighters](https://pitch.com/v/tiny-paper-da439f), we have been committed to helping creators grow and develop their business in the ever-changing metaverse market. This SIP represents the natural continuation of that mission. We hope the community will recognize not only the immediate value of this activation, but also the long-term benefits it can bring to creators, brands, and The Sandbox ecosystem as a whole.

**Events**:

All branded activations will take the form of themed game nights, restreamed across our social channels to maximize visibility. Each week will introduce fresh concepts, from casual community hangouts to competitive contests, keeping the experience dynamic and inclusive. To mobilize and reward participants, we will distribute prizes in $SAND alongside exclusive rewards from partner brands.

## Targeted Demographic:

Brands & partners : Web3-native projects and lifestyle/entertainment brands looking for an accessible entry point into The Sandbox ecosystem.

Players & creators : both existing Sandbox community members and new players attracted through brand partnerships and social events. Geographically, the project is open to a global audience, with a focus on reaching active gaming and Web3 communities.

### Risk analysis

| Risk | Why | Mitigation |
|----|----|----|
| Brand Commitments | Some brands may hesitate or delay joining the Odyssey, reducing the intended diversity of integrations. | We already have warm conversations ongoing, and if needed, the event will proceed with Tiny Fighters as the core brand while continuing outreach. |
| Player Participation | Difficulty in reaching the target of 500+ unique players. | Leverage The Sandbox community channels, brand partners’ audiences, and Tiny Fighters’ network; incentivize participation with quests, rewards, and social content. |
| Timeline Delays | Production or brand onboarding taking longer than expected. | Clear internal deadlines, phased milestone validation, and prioritization of core features to ensure launch readiness. |

## Budget requested

Overall cost: 12,000$ USD

#### Breakdown of the Cost

| | | |
|----|----|----|
| Production & Creation | Game design, partner avatars, quests, technical integration, and testing. The goal is to create a seamless and user-friendly experience within the existing GBM x The Sandbox dApp, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.

The GBM team will handle the entire build and deployment, and the project is forecasted to take 8 weeks of total development time. Based on availability and technical requirements, we are therefore planning delivery in Q1 2026. We have estimated the cost to be $60,000.

**Deliverables Of Final Product**

* The Sandbox users will be able to access the existing GBM x The Sandbox dApp, where a new “Secondary Marketplace” tab will be added. This unified interface will allow all traffic to be directed through one destination, enabling the primary auctions and secondary markets to complement and support each other.
* Users will be able to list individual 1x1 LANDs directly on the secondary marketplace.
* For estate listings, users will have the ability to bundle multiple LANDs natively within the dApp before putting them up for sale. This will enable the trustless, single-transaction sale of estates - solving a key limitation of the current system.
* The bundling tool will be designed to only allow LANDs from the same estate to be grouped. If a user attempts to bundle unrelated LANDs, the system will display an explanatory error message and prevent the action.
* Given that there is no official estate API, the GBM team will make its own custom solution to detect if lands are part of an estate.
* The system will automatically generate an image and metadata to represent each bundle from on-chain available data, using templates pre-approved by The Sandbox. Users will also be able to include custom descriptions for their listings.
* Users will be able to sell their 1x1 or bundled estates via one of three methods:
* Private Sale: The seller will specify a price and generate a private sale link. Only the designated buyer’s wallet will be able to see the sale and complete the transaction.
* Direct Sale: The seller will list their asset for a fixed price on the public marketplace, where any verified user can purchase it.
* GBM Auction: The seller will initiate a GBM Bid-to-Earn auction. Verified users will be able to place bids using SAND, and outbid participants will earn SAND rewards. The assets will be placed in escrow during the auction by the GBM system.
* All three sales methods will be executed atomically, ensuring that the buyer receives the asset and the seller is paid -or the transaction fails. This will eliminate the need for any trusted intermediaries.
* All transactions on the marketplace will be conducted in SAND.
* The Sandbox and The Sandbox DAO will receive a predefined transaction fee from each sale from the seller, automatically distributed to their respective whitelisted wallets. GBM will also get its fee at point of sale. The provisional breakdown is outlined below:
 * GBM - 2%
 * The Sandbox - 2.5%
 * The Sandbox DAO - 2.5%
* The entire marketplace, including the bundling feature, will be fully self-service.

### Benefit to The Sandbox Ecosystem

This will provide significant benefit to LAND owners in permitting them to transact more freely with their LAND and with the ability to bundle and sell estates in a trusted and robust manner.

It also provides some income to the DAO via the transaction fees.

| Risk | Assessment | Mitigation |
|----|----|----|
| Transaction Security | As there will be on-chain transactions being conducted via this marketplace, this carries risk of fraudulent transactions or security breaches. | There will be security checks performed at the point of transaction. Additionally, a security audit of smart contracts will be undertaken to ensure that the correct baseline is set. |
| Appropriate Bundling | As Estates are a construct within the Sandbox and do not exist on-chain, there is a risk that bundled LAND that are not estates could be sold as estates. | The data for estates will be validated based on public Sandbox data to ensure that all bundles packaged as estates are estates. |
| Ongoing Management | The service will require ongoing maintenance and sustaining, especially if there are regulatory changes. | GBM will provide support for free for the first 12 months. Following that, support arrangements may need to be determined if the fees generated are not sufficient to sustain. |

### Budget requested

Overall cost: **$60,000**

| Milestones | How do we measure success? | Expected completion date | Unlock Payment |
|----|----|----|----|
| #1 Project plan | Documented plan and timelines. Outside of this GBM has completed over 80,000 auctions without any issues and is working with notable web3 projects such as Decentraland, Unstoppable Domains and Aavegotchi just to name a few. The founders are fully doxxed and have been working in the blockchain space since 2018, whilst being involved as early as 2013.

Hugo McDonaugh, CEO - [Hugo McDonaugh - GBM | LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/hugomcdonaugh/)

Edouard Bessire, COO - [Edouard Bessire - GBM | LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/edouardbessire/)

Guillaume Gonnaud, CTO - [Guillaume Gonnaud - Cryptograph, MyNFT, gbm.auction | LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/guillaume-gonnaud/)
Yes","No","Abstain
[41550869.819748186,459892.1411247613,18370.69069660471
222099.79994727817,155772.124073266,6620400,409499.99999999994,8766889.065059857,25376208.83066778],[0.17521175139124223,1791.965913009888,453599.99999999994,4499.999999999999,0,0],[0,370.69069660471104,17999.999999999996,0,0,0
## TL;DR

### What
Magic Realms is a platform for generating complete, playable games in minutes. It accelerates game development for existing builders and establishes a new creator economy for game templates, themed block sets, and asset packs.

### How
Magic Realms will be a web-based and user-friendly tool that procedurally generates block-based level designs, places assets, and implements all necessary game logic for a chosen genre. The outputs are fully functional game experiences ready to be published in The Sandbox. This high barrier to entry creates a content bottleneck, leaving many LANDs empty and preventing owners from utilizing their assets. To thrive, The Sandbox must make game creation radically more accessible, empowering the entire community to fill the metaverse with fun and engaging experiences.

## Solution Proposed
Magic Realms is a revolutionary platform that uses procedural generation and AI to create complete, playable games with just a few clicks. Our goal is to make game creation as fast and fun as game playing, allowing users to generate a full multiplayer experience on their LAND in under three minutes.

The tool works by automatically generating unique level designs, placing essential assets, and integrating all necessary game logic for a chosen genre. We will launch with an AI-Powered Quiz Game module, followed by community-voted multiplayer experiences. There are various options like highly customizable Parkour courses or thrilling Deathmatch Arenas for these modules.

This project is an evolution of our existing DAO-supported tool, Magic Palette. The foundational work and proof-of-concept are complete, and backend upgrades are already in progress. We are ready to begin production of the first game module immediately upon the approval of this proposal.

### How it works
1. Choose a Genre: Pick from a list of popular game types.
2. Generate & Customize: Dial in a few parameters and let our engine generate a unique game level for you.
3. Baked-in Logic: All the complex game logic is automatically integrated.
4. Let’s Play!: Export your game to the Game Maker, publish to your LAND, and you’re live!

The core of Magic Realms is a powerful procedural generation engine. It intelligently combines pre-designed Voxel Modules to create unique, high-quality level layouts every single time. No two games are ever the same.

Beyond the level design, Magic Realms gives you complete artistic control. The core of this are our “Block Styles”, which allow for instant, one-click theme swaps on any generated level. This feature lets you completely reimagine your game’s visual style without touching the underlying gameplay mechanics. Transform a standard obstacle course into a high-tech, sci-fi cybercity or a fantasy castle ruin. This hands users the power to rapidly change a game’s entire look and feel, ensuring every creation is truly unique.

And here’s where it gets really exciting for our creators and builders… what if they could design and sell Voxel Modules, or themed Block Sets and Asset Bundles for the entire community to use in their game generations? This isn’t just a game design accelerator, it is creating a new market and opportunity for designers and a richer palette of games for everyone.

**It’s Not Just a Map, It’s a Game**

Magic Realms goes beyond just creating a pretty map. It intelligently and automatically places all the necessary game components: collectibles, moving obstacles, spawn points, logic components and triggers where needed.

Most importantly, this all seamlessly works with Game Maker. The final experience you export is ready to publish and play immediately. To ensure this works perfectly, we are collaborating closely with the The Sandbox Content Team and the numpad legend CyberDragon, the creator of the official The Sandbox logic templates. This makes sure these generated games are robust, fun, and fully compatible with the The Sandbox ecosystem. We are also in contact with other talented game developers who will help us to unlock amazing game loops and genres in Magic Realms.

The Magic Realms platform will be developed and owned by SAND RUSH Ltd. As this is a community-funded program, access to all modules developed under this proposal will remain freely available for The Sandbox community.

Our team is committed to updating the tool on an ongoing basis to ensure its continued compatibility with The Sandbox Game Maker. Magic Realms is designed to be a powerful starting point. To publish and play, experiences are still loaded into the Game Maker. We do not intend to replace the Game Maker, but rather to complement it by empowering everyone to create games, regardless of their technical knowledge.

**Our First Step: The AI-Powered Quiz Module**

To get this powerful tool into your hands as quickly as possible, we want to start with a focused first module: a super-fun, AI-powered Quiz Game.

We chose the Quiz Game module for a very specific reason: it allows us to prove the core Magic Realms technology and deliver a fun, fully-functional creator tool to you, the community. With this module, any builder or LAND owner can create their custom quiz on any topic and can start publishing new experiences on their LAND in a few weeks already.

Simply provide a topic (like “Ancient Rome” or “80s Sci-Fi Movies”) and let our AI Assistant generate the entire quiz for you. The full setup, the questions & answers, and all within a beautifully themed, procedurally generated environment to play on.

**Next Steps: Community-Voted Modules**

Following the launch of the AI-Powered Quiz, our roadmap is designed to be shaped directly by the community. Our goal is to build the multiplayer game genres that you, the creators and players, believe will be the most engaging and beneficial for The Sandbox.

Therefore, our SIP will propose that the next two modules be determined by the community in the discussion phase. Based on initial feedback, strong candidates include fast-paced social and competitive experiences like Parkour and Deathmatch arenas.

**Example Module II: Parkour Race**

If selected by the community, deliverables would include:
*Full production of the “Parkour Race” module, including procedural track generation.
* Various themed Block sets for instant styling.
* Implementation of specific game logic (lobby, checkpoints, timers).
* Creation of a new asset pack tailored to the parkour theme (e.g., platforms, obstacles, traps).

**Example Module III: Deathmatch Arena**

If selected by the community, deliverables would include:
* Full production of the “Deathmatch Arena” module.
* Various Arena designs and Block Styles to generate with
* Implementation of combat game logic (respawn points, health, scoring).
* Creation of a new asset pack suited for combat arenas (e.g., cover objects, weapon pads).

## Benefit to The Sandbox Ecosystem

This tool can Increase LAND utilisation through lowering the capability barrier to building experiences and increase the options for creators and builders, potentially empowering them to have revenue-generating opportunities. Magic Realms directly accelerates The Sandbox’s core mission of building a rich, user-generated metaverse and increases the utility of both LAND and SAND.

**For LAND Owners**
Transforms LAND from a passive asset into an active, content-generating hub, unlocking immediate utility and monetization potential.

**For Builders:**
Acts as a massive accelerator, automating foundational work and freeing up creators to focus on innovation and quality.

**For Players:**
Triggers a wave of new content, making the The Sandbox landscape richer, more diverse, and exciting to explore.

**For the Ecosystem**
Ignites a powerful UGC economic flywheel, driving player growth, increasing demand for LAND and $SAND, and capturing a larger share of the UGC platform market.

## Budget requested

Overall cost: $130,000.
![sip-35 budget.png](ipfs://bafkreieylom66g4vi5vl66lx3hcflpnsot7mmvx4os3g27serijphnvhbi)

## Implementation Plan
![SIP-35_ Magic Realms milestones.png](ipfs://bafkreigpkmqpprxlfaspoludtmvrkhcbsfxbvh6zdjv77dw6phqg2ef5g4)

More info in discussion.
Yes","No","Abstain
[35561903.44955685,1156118.2463621052,4705666.0528256595
225823.86494231352,210725.12293697312,7955999.999999997,422999.9999999998,7864224.637983648,18882129.823693916],[0,6341.796985996064,67499.99999999999,0,2261.734126058793,1080014.7152500504],[3.0683381553945996,21229.570515292227,485999.9999999998,8999.999999999998,900722.944156396,3288710.4698158163
![sip-34.jpeg](ipfs://bafybeic3pgiws4wuzf4f6rlslh4tiu55pe56ukmewteted2gpwvvtbd32a)

## TL;DR
|What|BollyBox, the Sandbox’s first Bollywood-themed IP LAND sale, featuring real-world events and an AI short film premiere. It will be used to showcase student projects and become the home for unlocking future earning opportunities for graduates.

We will leverage our extensive network to target senior high to college students nationwide (across the Philippines), with an opportunity to bring these same programs to our regional partners (LATAM, US, APAC).

## Solution Proposed

### Metaversity Campus
Using YGG-owned LAND, we will create and build a Metaversity Campus in the Sandbox to help develop builder skills and digital skills in an alternative learning institution that bridges skills and real-world earning opportunities.

The Metaversity Campus will continue as an active learning hub, serving as a proof of concept to pitch to consumer brands who want to create digital experiences in Sandbox, whether as marketing activations or immersive experiences for their users. Program graduates will be “hired” to bring these brand experiences to life, turning learning into real work.

### The Marshal Residency Program
The Marshal Residency Program is designed to support and upskill 1,000 students over 12 months through Sandbox-based learning experiences delivered IRL across schools, communities, and online through The Sandbox and Metaversity’s digital platform.

The program will kick off with Crash Courses: modular, beginner-friendly lessons built for self-paced learning. Think of it like minor classes you need to accomplish before you “specialize”. The lessons will primarily be in English, making them accessible to learners globally. These certification courses will be available completely for free on Metaversity’s platform and assigned LAND to build on.

This SIP will target mainly students, but also career shifters, and young professionals across the Philippines. Along with schools and universities partnering with us to drive learning and opportunity.

The learning progression will be a mix of modular learning experiences. Sandbox modules will be integrated into existing Metaversity products.

* Together We Learn (TWL) Online Shows: The first touch point for learners. This is where they will be introduced to Sandbox as a platform, and real-life creator journeys to spark curiosity and build awareness.
* Crash Courses: Self-paced, foundational lessons that teach practical skills such as UX design, 3D modeling and game logic - skills that are relevant to building on The Sandbox. All lessons are designed for accessibility and onboarding at scale.
* Marshal Residency Program: A 12-month rolling residency program that blends asynchronous learning, live workshops, and in-person activations at partner schools. Coming from finishing the Crash Courses, learners may apply to this 8-week rolling program.

Pathway to opportunity: Learners progress through the funnel: TWL Shows → Crash Courses → Marshal Program → real gigs, internships, and DAO/community roles within YGG and Sandbox ecosystems.

We are confident that we will have been able to push at least 1000 students through this program within 12 months starting from the grant approval date, with onboarding and activations for schools happening on a rolling basis.

These are issued on our [platform](https://joinmetaversity.com). We can easily launch The Sandbox themed certificates for the set of Crash Courses we will create for this program.

SBT’s on Ethereum that are issued to learners who accomplish learning milestones. This feature is enabled by YGG’s Platform. | We will be able to use the same platform to issue SBT’s for this program.

Rewards and Recognitions. Upon accomplishing all lessons under Crash Courses, learners receive a digital certificate on [EDU Chain](https://educhain.xyz/) and Soul-Bound tokens (SBT’s) on Ethereum to represent their commitment and learning progress.

Call for The Sandbox Guest Lecturers and Strong Community Participation. In our existing programs, we feature a mix of in-house mentors and guest lecturers from industry and community partners. For the Sandbox x Marshal Residency, we’d like to continue this model and welcome guest lecturers from the Sandbox community to contribute their expertise and insights.

We have a reach of over 4 million people across social media platforms, community partners and school partners. As of writing, Metaversity has 24 school partners nationwide, and is continuously growing with our ongoing IRL events and sponsorship efforts.

We also get regular media coverage and PR mileage through the event involvements and other meaningful efforts that we do. We would be happy to kick off this program with a press release to highlight our big goals together.

We recently concluded an 8-week Marshal Program, which will serve as the model for the upcoming Sandbox x Marshal Residency. Starting with 10,600 sign-ups from our Crash Courses, about 11% applied to join the deeper learning experience. Of those, 506 attended at least one session, and we ended the season with 370 graduates: a strong 73% completion rate. This demonstrates both strong learner intent and our ability to guide them through a structured skills pathway.
We will provide a monthly roundup of updates for the community to share our progress.

## Benefit to The Sandbox Ecosystem
* 1,000 New Users. Students onboarded into The Sandbox ecosystem with real accounts and activity.
* Increased User Activity in The Sandbox. YGG-owned LAND becomes a live, educational space that will drive steady traffic.
* Increased The Sandbox DAO Community Participation. Welcoming DAO members to share expertise as Guest Lecturers of the program.
* Scalable Learning IP. Modular content designed for reuse, localization, and partner distribution globally.
* Proof of Concept for a Sustainable Learning to Opportunity Ecosystem. This program establishes a replicable model that connects learning directly to career opportunities within The Sandbox.
* Student-Built Showcase. The Program ends with a demo day featuring learner-built Sandbox experiences.
* 50+ School & Org Partnerships. Direct access to students and educators across key Philippine regions.
* Soulbound Skill Certificates. RxC launched the Web3 Lab for Social Impact aims to harness the power of Web3 technology to benefit civil society.|

## Council recommendation
Positive

## SIP Details
### Background

In April 2024, The Sandbox and [RadicalxChange Web3 Lab](https://www.radicalxchange.org/) launched the [Impact Game Jam](https://medium.com/sandbox-game/game-jam-impact-fad6e211f4e3), the phase #1 (Impact Game Jam) of a broader vision: to activate creators worldwide to build socially impactful experiences addressing urgent sustainability issues like pollution, deforestation, and poor labor conditions. This initiative successfully engaged 425 participants from 17 countries, resulting in the creation of 36 unique game and a total of 20 awarded games. Among these, standout games like People Are Electricity and Floating Haven used immersive storytelling and gameplay to raise awareness on global issues in powerful new ways.

But creation is just the beginning.

Now, we move into Phase #2 (Live Event Top winners), we shift focus from creators to players. This next step is about activating The Sandbox community to play, explore, and give, transforming awareness into action. By showcasing the top four winning games in a live event gated by a charity-supporting NFT, we invite players to directly support local NGOs making a tangible difference on the ground.

Through gameplay, players become donors.

This proposal aims to increase visibility and financial sustainability through a Web3-based donation model.

## Solution Proposed
We propose a live, an event in The Sandbox , celebrating the 4 top winners of the Impact Game Jam while launching an experimental Web3 donation model that directly benefits grassroots NGOs.

This immersive experience invites players to enjoy socially conscious games and support real-world impact through an NFT sale.

### Event Description & NFT Fundraising
4 Top Game Jam experiences showcased to the community :

* [Floating Haven](https://www.sandbox.game/en/experiences/Floating%20Haven/9caf298a-c837-4b8b-803c-c4c593b3ed37/page/) by Sandja
* [People are Electricity](https://www.sandbox.game/en/experiences/impact-gj-people-are-electricity/56ec0acb-8fc6-4e8f-8136-5e0780b31f18/page/) by Leon
* [Recycle Center](https://www.sandbox.game/en/experiences/Recycle%20Center%20%2F%20Build%20Eco-City/4208e441-7541-4bfe-b55b-c2c21297fa0f/page/) by PGVLab
* [Global Fever](https://www.sandbox.game/en/experiences/impact-gj/499d0601-5562-4900-8125-563861382f53/page/) by Gawiz

Access to the prizepool is gated through NFTs ownership , turning participation into a gesture of support. Players who hold one of the NFT have access to the prizepool event.

The NFTs, priced at 30 SAND, serve as both a donation to the selected NGOs and a share to the prizepool. 2000 copies will be minted in total (1000 per NFT).

All funds collected from this collection will be 95% donated and split equally among 2 selected NGOs, the rest of 5% goes for RadicalxChange support. The goal is to raise 60,000 SAND.

The event will be listed on [The Sandbox Event Page](https://www.sandbox.game/en/events/) and NFT can be bought directly on the marketplace.

The NFT sales will be collected by the DAO admin wallet and redistributed to NGOs.

### Prizepool Eligibility & Distribution
We propose a 30,000 SAND prize pool, shared between all players who bought an Impact NFT & complete the quest event objective. (1 share max per participant)
Participants will receive their share in SAND directly on their Sandbox Account on the claim page.
*SIP author must refrain from buying NFTs.*

### NGOS
- [Puerta18](https://www.puerta18.org.ar/) is a non-profit organization based in Buenos Aires, Argentina whose goal is to bridge the digital divide among teenagers and young adults. By providing free for use equipment, classes and other initiatives, Puerta18 is working to give every young person from underprivileged backgrounds a chance to learn and develop their technical skills and have interact with technology in a positive and impactful way.

- [Clinic+O](https://clinic-o.org/) based in Guinea is an NGO with a mission to revolutionize healthcare for underserved communities living on less than $3 a day. By leveraging technology and a collaborative network of providers, our model delivers affordable, accessible, and high-quality care, saving patients up to 60% on primary care costs and improving the lives of over 45,000 individuals to date.

To maintain transparency, all raised funds from the NFT sale will be distributed directly from the DAO treasury to the NGOs, in SAND, via wallet transfers.

### Use of Funds
- Clinic 0+, the donation will help train around ten healthcare workers in digital tools and telemedicine. Each trained health worker is expected to reach and treat approximately 650 patients. It’s worth noting that among those 650 teleconsultations, around 30% of underserved patients are likely to require emergency care

- Puerta18, the donation will go toward purchasing digital materials, computer, and a virtual headset to support the growing range of activities for underserved youth

### RadicalxChange Support: Education, Marketing & Long-Term Enablement

RxC will play a central role in ensuring the success, visibility, and sustainability of this initiative during and after the event. RxC will provide to NGOs:

* Assistance in setting up crypto wallets for both NGOs to receive SAND donations and engage with The Sandbox ecosystem.
* Workshop and guidance to guide them into Web3, exploring opportunities within the Web3 ecosystem and continue co-creating meaningful impact.

RxC will ensure strong visibility of the event, through The Sandbox and the DAO social media. The RadicalxChange community will be also activated to support the initiative.

The goal is also to establish a compelling use case that can be replicated in benefit for small and medium-sized NGOs.

RadicalxChange will take 5% of the total raised funds. (If 60K is raised, that represents 3000 SAND).

## Benefit to The Sandbox Ecosystem
* This initiative brings NGOs from the Global South into The Sandbox ecosystem, helping them set up wallets, understand metaverse fundraising, and build presence on our platform.
* By transforming the best Game Jam entries into a live event, we extend the life and reach of creator-generated content offering greater visibility, playability, and relevance for the broader community. It keeps creators engaged and provides a replicable model for showcasing Jam outcomes.

## Risk analysis
|Scenario|NFTs Sold|Funds Raised|Mitigation plan|
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
|High|2,000|60,000 SAND|Goal reached - 57,000 SAND back to the 2 NGO.|
|Moderate|1,000|30,000 SAND|Ensure ongoing promotion through targeted social media campaigns. |
|Low|<500|<15,000 SAND|If less than 500 NFT are sold 1 week before the end of the event, activate contingency plans with intensified outreach efforts, emphasizing the project's altruistic mission and tangible benefits of supporting social impact through NFT purchases.|

## Budget requested
Overall cost: 33,000 SAND

#### Breakdown of the Cost
|**Event Prize Pool**|Fund for the prize pool to reward participants and winners of the live event showcasing the top entries from the Impact Game Jam|30,000 SAND|
| --- | --- | --- |
|**NFT Minting Costs**|Covers the minting of 2,000 NFTs (1,000 NFTs per NGO) using common catalysts.|2,000 SAND|
|**NFT Collection Creation**|Includes the artist fee, design work|1,000 SAND|

## Implementation Plan
|Milestones|Owner|Expected completion date|Unlock|
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
|**#1 SIP Voting Period** ||11-25th June|3,000 SAND|
|**#2 Event Planing** 1. Their mission: strategic liquidation, reinvestment, and transformation into a curated, diversified, and revenue-generating art collection.

## Why
The collection is underutilized, concentrated in risky assets (mostly Yuga Labs PFPs), and lacks strategic oversight. Without intervention, its value could depreciate significantly. Active management can generate income, reduce risk, and enhance its utility and cultural relevance.

## How
The team will execute a 12-month plan: conduct valuations, liquidate assets, acquire new ones, and issue quarterly reports. They pledge to deliver 100K$/quarter to the DAO treasury. The rest of the funds from sales will be used to curate a meaningful long-term collection.

## When
4-quarter project starting upon SIP approval, April 30th. Payments to the team are tied to execution and quarterly report.

## Who
A trio of seasoned professionals in the Web3 art world, with curatorial, advisory, and NFT marketplace experience, including past partnerships with The Sandbox and major institutions like Sotheby’s.

## Council Recommendation
Positive

# SIP Details
## Problem Description
The Sandbox DAO currently holds over 1100 NFTs in its treasury, with an estimated liquid market value exceeding 1,000 ETH (~$2M as of April 2nd 2025). More of these assets were transferred to the DAO wallet in February 2025 and represent a curated subset of a broader 16,000-NFT collection (still 20-70 low-value NFTs pending to be transferred)

However, this collection is currently underutilized and faces three key issues:
1. Asset Inactivity: NFTs are sitting idle with no active strategy for curation, liquidation, or value extraction. Without action, the assets may continue to depreciate, especially in a volatile NFT market when they could instead be actively managed to generate much-needed revenue for the treasury.
2. Value Concentration Risk: approximately 80% of the collection’s total value is concentrated in just 200 NFTs, largely from Yuga Labs projects. This creates vulnerability, especially given Yuga Labs’ lack of direct affiliation with The Sandbox ecosystem.
3. Lack of Diversification: 99% of the collection consists of PFP (profile picture) collectibles, limiting its cultural, functional, and financial utility. There is little representation of voxel art, gaming items, spatial designs, or artists native to The Sandbox ecosystem.

Without a structured management approach, the DAO risks missing both financial returns and cultural impact.

## Solution Proposed
We’d like to offer a 12-month service to steward the market making strategy of The Sandbox DAO’s NFT collection.

To fully unlock both the current and future value of the DAO’s NFT collection, the collection must be transitioned from a passive holding to an actively managed portfolio. Our team will lead this process by implementing a structured, transparent strategy focused on three core pillars: value preservation, revenue generation, and cultural relevance.

### What we will do
* Actively manage the collection with a dedicated team able to respond to market shifts and opportunities in real-time.
* Replace passive holding with a proactive strategy focused on:
 * NFT liquidation
 * Targeted acquisitions
 * Strategic reallocation to ensure a steady revenue stream and a more sustainable long-term approach.
* Address value concentration, with over 99% of the collection currently tied to PFP collectibles (mainly Yuga Labs) by diversifying into more meaningful and ecosystem-relevant assets.

### Financial Commitment to the DAO
Our strategy ensures that the collection directly benefits the DAO.
We commit to transferring $100,000 worth of ETH to the DAO treasury each quarter.
The rest of the extracted fund from ventilated liquidation will be reinvested to:
* curate a streamlined, high-quality Art collection
* that is legible, culturally meaningful
* manageable through community vote.

### Art Direction criteria
* Unique artworks (1/1), unique works from a series (1/1/X) and editions.
* Artworks by living and deceased Web 3 native artists and recognized digital artists.
* Artworks valued at over 1 ETH
* Artworks that resonate with The Sandbox's corporate spirit and culture, including a dominant retro gaming theme, Internet culture (code, development) and gaming (avatar, wearable, spatial design) with voxel aesthetics, pixel art, glitch art, conceptual architectural explorations.

### Scope of Work & Strategic Framework
Our plan revolves around data-driven decision-making, market intelligence, and proactive execution to unlock the full potential of the DAO’s collection. Below is the structured approach we will take:

#### 1. Comprehensive Market Research & Valuation
* Conduct a multi-horizon valuation of the collection, assessing short, mid, and long-term asset performance.
* Develop and maintain a catalog dashboard to provide real-time visibility into the collection’s value and movements.
* Regularly estimate and update the list of assets optimal for liquidation, ensuring that underperforming or redundant assets are identified early.

#### 2. Liquidation Strategy & Execution
* Implement a structured sale ventilation strategy, ensuring listings and bids are well-timed to maximize value while avoiding market saturation.
* Facilitate private deals and consignment agreements, leveraging our extensive network to secure advantageous off-market transactions.
* Utilize loan mechanisms and explore alternative financial strategies to generate liquidity without unnecessary asset sales.
* Actively manage live listings on marketplaces, adapting to short-term market opportunities for maximum returns.

#### 3. Acquisition & Portfolio Rebalancing
* Identify and secure private deals for high-value assets to diversify the collection.
* Implement a targeted acquisition strategy, making collection-wide offers and participating in live bidding to secure blue-chip NFTs.
* Commission exclusive works from artists to enhance the collection with unique and strategic additions.

#### 4. Transparent Reporting & Community Engagement
* Hold regular AMA sessions to ensure open communication with the community.
* Maintain an active presence in DAO discussions on Discord and forums, keeping members informed and involved.
* Provide detailed quarterly reports, including a reporting deck with insights on sales, acquisitions, and strategy adjustments.
* Share next-quarter strategic priorities, outlining upcoming actions and goals.

#### 5. DAO Integration & Long-Term Framework
* Establish a structured listing and bidding framework in collaboration with The Sandbox DAO team to ensure a smooth and efficient execution process.
* Define short, mid, and long-term sell targets based on data-driven market assessments.
* Leverage all available financial tools, including loaning, swaps, and structured deal-making, to maximize asset utility.
* Continuously rethink the collection’s positioning and orientation, ensuring it aligns with the evolving Web3 landscape.

By implementing this comprehensive approach, we will unlock liquidity, enhance diversification, and ensure the DAO’s collection is actively working to generate value rather than sitting idle. This framework not only secures immediate financial benefits but also paves the way for long-term sustainability, ensuring that The Sandbox DAO remains a key player in the evolving NFT and digital art ecosystem

## Benefits to The Sandbox Ecosystem
A collection management approach must be multi horizons and benefit the DAO in the short, mid and long term.

* Short term: $100,000 worth of ETH to be transferred to the DAO treasury every quarter to fund community initiatives.
* Mid term: Clear perspective on the state and valuation of the collection through our reporting in addition to ripping the benefit of having the capacity of making the most of Market trend or “Meta” (AI, L2,...)
* Long-Term Vision: After one year, the collection will be condensed to a fraction (approximately 150-300 NFTs) of its current size. This reduction will significantly simplify future management, enabling the DAO to autonomously and efficiently arbitrate decisions, including voting on potential liquidations.

#### Cultural benefits
* Define a coherent, long-term artistic direction
* Diversify the collection by acquiring more varied and culturally relevant artworks.
* Support independent artists and the Sandbox ecosystem.
* Use the collection as leverage to promote Sandbox and attract designers.
* Create a collection with a provenance to increase its value and prestige.

### Risk analysis
Our risk analysis highlights three key aspects to consider when granting our team the mandate to manage The Sandbox DAO’s NFT collection:

## Budget requested
**Overall cost: 150 020 €**
![SIP-26_ NFT Collection Management for The Sandbox DAO.png](ipfs://bafkreig7imggqjsbb64k2nfvv4ij426jaxhxjwydwk4afbsj3nkudmhe54)

## Implementation Plan
![SIP-26-Milestones.png](ipfs://bafkreigyrxz3t6wqob2gh643h56sejvcf6w2crowss36g6ni3irtoxty2u)

## Team/Author Background
More info on the team and SIP-9 resubmission on the forum discussion.
* https://linktr.ee/Arthemort
* https://www.linkedin.com/in/josephinelouis/
* https://www.linkedin.com/in/kim-d-40510b210
Yes","No","Abstain
[18014989.03189444,13234160.937063947,2111416.600284146
119590.11991932392,264957.11041550594,5131800,400500,102455.246353986,11995686.55520562],[970.2020531798156,51957.4594673511,2842200,18000,187475.91392865952,10133557.361614758],[156.72561336929877,11137.720549063337,76500,9000,4528.72726634,2010093.4268553732
![a6d1ff4f452d988afe8739b162824220f5362306_2_1380x776.jpeg](ipfs://bafybeibe7c6wmxpqzajaakhtxlgxnt3ischecjrcu5cpsk7wv3repsmy7i)

## TL;DR

### What
The Sandbox DAO Grants Program (SDGP) offers a quick way to fund small, impactful projects in The Sandbox ecosystem. Instead of going through a long approval process, SDGP gets funding directly to creators, developers, and community projects faster. The funding for this phase will be distributed across the same four budget categories as in 2025: Season Rewards & Game Creation, Education, Onboarding & Technology, Community Engagement & Charity, and the Web 3 ecosystem. These categories ensure that the allocation of resources is focused and aligned with The Sandbox DAO's strategic goals for the year.

### Why
The usual funding process can be slow and complicated, making it hard to start small projects quickly. SDGP makes it easier and faster to get projects going, by letting expert leaders in specific areas decide on funding.

### How
SDGP uses a system where leaders, called Domain Allocators (DA), manage funding in their areas of expertise.. If this trial is proven successful, a community vote will be held to elect the next DAs. The program is structured to ensure transparency and accountability, with each funding decision rooted in predefined criteria and public reporting.

### When
**March 19th :** Nomination for DA starts
**April 2nd:** * New SIP to elect DA will be put to vote
**April 16th:** Onboarding starts for the DAs.
**April 30th** : SDGP Starts; Grant Hub Website launch and announced on the forum.
**August 30th**: SDGP trial phase ends.
If successful, a new SIP will be put forward to scale the program.

### Who
The DAO Admin team designed this proposal, and the SDGP trial phase team includes selected Domain Allocators. They bring expertise in Web3, gaming, community engagement, and growing the ecosystem.

## Council Recommendation:
Positive 🙂

## Problem Description

The Sandbox DAO currently uses the SIP process for governance, which is structured and works well for big projects. However, this single funding route might not meet the diverse needs of creators, developers, and community members as the ecosystem grows. The SIP process can be complex and slow, which might discourage smaller projects with great ideas from participating due to the lengthy and demanding approval process.

Without a more flexible and area-specific approach, the DAO might miss out on opportunities to drive innovation, engage the community more deeply, and speed up adoption within The Sandbox metaverse.

## Solution Proposed

The Sandbox DAO Grants Program (SDGP) offers a new approach with a domain-driven, community-led funding model. Domain Allocators (DAs) will manage grant distribution in specific areas, enabling quicker and more focused decision-making.

SDGP will start as a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to test and refine this model, aiming for a scalable and more decentralized grant system in future phases. This program will have a reduced budget, a 4-months duration and DAs candidates will be vetted by the admin team (similar to the delegate recruitment) and then will be voted by the community in a subsequent SIP.

The grantees will be able to submit their projects on the Grant Hub, a quick and efficient tool for creating and managing simple grants.

### Comparison

|Key Elements|SDGP|SIP - Community Vote|
| --- | --- | --- |
|Project Approval Timeline|Aim for 15 days|45-60 days in general|
|Approval Process|Domain Allocator|Community Voting|
|Project sizing|Small project|Big project|
|Payment unlock|Milestones based|Milestones based|
|Budget range (indicative)|0-50k SAND in general|Up to 200K SAND|

## How SDGP Works

The SDGP is built on clear roles, structured funding mechanisms, and transparent community oversight to ensure efficient and accountable grant distribution.

![52d744354f6346fb01f39b8baaeafeb470badec8_2_1380x896.png](ipfs://bafkreidyavco3vdcj5jv37i7gm7sf7njlxezyvj2gefrwemc4j54qcomma)

Domain Allocators (DAs)
* Lead and promote their domain
* Approve or reject proposals based on on predefined criteria such as feasibility, impact, and alignment with The Sandbox’s vision
* Oversee & validate milestone tracking
* Provide transparency by posting updates at least once a month in [the Sandbox DAO Forum](https://forum.sandboxdao.com/).

Program Manager (PM): operational backbone of SDGP.
* Supports and liaises with the DAs in structuring funding rounds, tracking performance, and reporting.
* Ensures program integrity, keeping DAs proactive and accountable.
* This role will be done by the Admin team

Admin Team

* Processes payments upon DA milestone approval
* Oversees program execution, resolving governance issues if needed.
* Assess DA applicants (MVP) to ensure they meet the required expertise for their domain.

The Sandbox DAO Community

* Votes for DAs, ensuring trusted leaders oversee funding.
* Submits proposals, contributing to the ecosystem’s development.
![grant.png](ipfs://bafkreignorizykoubisixdx7a33qrm23f25qqt2rffwhmgqowmw2b4bcxm)

1️⃣ **Grant Submission**: Applicants submit their projects on Grant Hub, outlining their project scope, milestones, and funding needs.
2️⃣ **DA Review & Approval**: DAs evaluate the project based on criteria, engage with applicants. In the following [example](https://x.com/Grumysh/status/1900385597883138414), you can see how it works by validating the date and username in a screenshot for a mission in The Sandbox.
* Reward System: Creators can easily distribute SAND and NFTs to players.
* Leaderboard: Track player progress in real time throughout a season.

Metrics: Creators can analyze mission engagement and optimize experiences based on data.

### Monetization Model
The platform offers a structured monetization system designed for creators of all levels:

Mission Packages:
 * 20 free missions per month
 * 50 missions for $5/month
 * 100 missions for $9/month
 * Unlimited missions for $20/month

Experience Promotion:
Creators can pay to feature their experiences in a dedicated “Promoted” section on the homepage.

Reward Packages (due to transaction service costs):

 * 20 free rewards per month
 * 50 rewards for $5/month
 * 100 rewards for $9/month
 * 300 rewards for $20/month

The free package ensures that any creator can achieve the same level of performance that secured second place in the Builder Challenge. Paid plans are designed for those managing two or more experiences who want to position them simultaneously.

For Players:
* Season Pass: A $7/month season pass that allows players to claim rewards (SAND and NFTs) by completing missions on the platform. These rewards will come from partners and a percentage of the monthly revenue from creator service fees.

The DAO receives 100% of the revenue generated by the third-party company until its initial investment is fully recouped.
Once the investment has been recovered, the revenue is split 50/50 between the DAO and the third-party company until the DAO earns 3 times its original investment.
After this milestone is achieved, the revenue split will move to 80/20, in favor of the third party.

During the first year, we aim to onboard 100 studios onto the platform, including AAA, AA, and indie studios, while reaching 15,000 active users. We project that at least 10% (1,500 users) will purchase a season pass, generating $144,480 in revenue through subscriptions and pass sales.

By year three, with a more mature and expanding ecosystem, we expect The Sandbox to reach 1,000 creators, with over 60% actively using our platform. Additionally, we aim to surpass 81,000 active users, with 10% (8,100 users) purchasing season passes. With this adoption, our projected annual revenue will reach $795,600, driven by the growth of studios and the increasing demand for mission and reward management tools.

We define AAA Studios as those developing four or more experiences simultaneously, AA Studios as those working on three experiences, and Indie Studios as those focusing on two experiences. This classification allows us to tailor our monetization strategies and support to the specific needs of each type of creator.

## Benefit to The Sandbox Ecosystem

The platform will encourage active player participation while enabling creators to increase the visibility and engagement of their games in The Sandbox.

With the version we developed exclusively for our studio, we achieved a 375% increase in our player base, demonstrating the platform's effectiveness in driving growth and retention.

The Platform is unique and will facilitates the creation of community-driven dynamics and allows creators to reward players’ loyalty and commitment, enhancing The Sandbox ecosystem.

## Risk analysis
![FireShot Capture 006 - SIP-24_ Chrysalis Quest, The Sandbox Communities Platform - 🚀 SIP__ - [forum.sandboxdao.com].png](ipfs://bafybeiarvxwtujou4zkszt3pwdni6mgw6gpdbd4vwi44rmekejgnbbpnta)

Chrysalis Quest stands out by offering a complete system for missions, rewards, analytics, and gamification, allowing creators to enhance player retention within The Sandbox. Unlike WakeUp Labs, which lacks tools for missions and rewards and only offers website visit tracking, and The Sandbox, which does not allow external creators to manage missions or distribute rewards directly, Chrysalis Quest provides advanced leaderboards, a functional achievement system, and almost fully defined monetization models, giving creators greater flexibility and autonomy within the ecosystem.

## Budget requested
**Overall cost: 85,000 USD**

### Breakdown of the Cost
![FireShot Capture 005 - SIP-24_ Chrysalis Quest, The Sandbox Communities Platform - 🚀 SIP__ - [forum.sandboxdao.com].png](ipfs://bafybeihwvq7qrwxjg4mrbez64a5jftsdwszrwqs2ewr5e4bwobfma3axie)

## Implementation Plan
|Milestones|Deliverables|Expected completion date|Unlock Payment|
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
|#1 **Platform Foundation and Initial Setup**: Define platform architecture and user flow. Despite fluctuations in the token’s value, the DAO Admin team successfully closed the year within budget, highlighting the importance of effective asset management. Furthermore, while the renewal of the donation has been postponed, it has not hindered our ability to operate.

### General Impressions of 2024 Budget Categories
Reflecting on 2024, certain budget categories - such as LiveOps, and NFTs - experienced limited utilization. These constraints highlighted a gap in alignment between TSB teams and the community. The rigidity of the existing categories also posed challenges in accommodating proposals that did not fit neatly into the established structure.

While we have approached areas like the SAND initiative cautiously, mindful of potential regulatory considerations, other categories such as content and platform faced some challenges due to differing views on broader strategic priorities. Overall, while some categories were effective, the limited flexibility and occasional misalignment across stakeholders made it challenging to move forward with unified community support.

## The Sandbox DAO: Vision and Objectives for 2025

### Vision for 2025: Growing the DAO
In 2025, the DAO's mission is to grow into a robust community of meaning and value by fostering greater engagement and increasing the utility of the SAND token. This will drive more players, more content, and ultimately more revenue. The focus will be on empowering the community, exploring funding avenues, and ensuring alignment with long-term goals that solidify The Sandbox’s position in the Web3 ecosystem.

Strategic Objectives for 2025:
1. Empower the Community: Grant members a stronger influence on the DAO's budget and priorities, fostering a sense of ownership.
2. Diversify Funding: Introduce flexible budget categories that encourage innovation and a wider scope for proposals and, in turn, increasing SIP authors engagement.
3. Align with Long-Term Goals: Ensure that all initiatives funded align with the overarching vision of growing the ecosystem and strengthening The Sandbox’s position in the Web3 space.
4. Leverage Assets: Maximize the utility of the DAO’s key resources: SAND treasury, NFT collectibles, LANDs and TSB assets
---

### Budget Categories for 2025
To streamline funding and foster SIPs submission, the DAO will adopt the following new budget categories, each tailored to its strategic goals:

|Type|% |Purpose|Why it’s important|Why this allocation|
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
|**Web3 Ecosystem Integration**|37,5%|Dedicated funding to drive partnerships and integrate The Sandbox’s community and assets into the broader Web3 ecosystem.|Interoperability is key to expanding the platform’s reach and attracting new users. The hedging strategy will follow a conservative and risk-averse approach, ensuring that funds are managed responsibly and with the DAO’s long-term stability in mind. Regular updates will be included in the DAO’s financial reporting to provide transparency on the overall health of the reserve. The reserve allocation, though modest, reflects a commitment to maximizing the use of active funds while maintaining sufficient flexibility to address unforeseen challenges or opportunities.|

## Implementation Plan
|Milestones|Expected Date|
| --- | --- |
|Test Transaction|From donation approval|
|Receives the donation|Within 2 days post test transaction |
|New wallets + management rules|Within 15 days after receiving the donation|
|Updating Website Dashboard |30 days after SIP Acceptance|
|Regular Updates to share with the community|Every quarter|
Yes","No","Abstain
[30633960.893595766,987654.3350381644,9524.574359980694
247852.78651610308,241262.12232723163,4392000.000000003,585000.0000000003,238794.78211006543,24929051.202642363],[271.7882908142253,6382.546747349642,981000.0000000006,0,0,0],[57.8453240550588,466.72903592562784,9000.000000000005,0,0,0
https://forum.sandboxdao.com/t/sip-23-2025-tsb-donation-new-budget-structure-and-strategic-direction/1703/1
![SIP #22 - 1920x1080.jpg](ipfs://bafybeia7wbdifluharfyarqbtkbyyzy5pxa5aatx2jsbj6vvt6zyxkb5xm)

## TL;DR
|||
| --- | --- |
|What|The Women in Tech Global x The Sandbox collaboration aims to empower women in Web3 by addressing gender equity challenges in technology. Contact ayumi@women-in-tech.org or wafeeqa@women-in-tech.org

## Council Recommandation
Positive 🙂

# SIP Details

## Problem Description
The Web3 and metaverse technology sectors currently face a significant gender disparity that requires immediate attention. Women are notably underrepresented in leadership roles and technical positions, while also encountering limited access to specialized education and training in emerging technologies. Their contributions to the Web3 space often go unrecognized, and women entrepreneurs in the metaverse ecosystem lack adequate support systems. Moreover, the absence of global standards for gender equity in digital innovation further compounds these challenges.

This partnership aims to address these critical issues through comprehensive initiatives spanning education, advocacy, business support, and policy development. By taking this multifaceted approach, the collaboration directly supports The Sandbox's mission to foster inclusive ecosystem growth and drive meaningful global social impact.

## Solution proposed
The Women in Tech® Global Summit 2025 is a major international technology conference taking place in Osaka, Japan during the World Expo 2025.

Partnering with NTT, this 4th annual summit aims to bring together 650 high-profile delegates from over 90 countries to advance women in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) fields.

The summit is a key part of their mission to empower 5 million women and girls in STEAM by 2030. It will feature 80 expert speakers discussing cutting-edge topics like AI, cybersecurity, and sustainability, plus launch the Osaka Protocol - a new international convention for gender equality in STEM fields.

The partnership will also establish a powerful network of brand ambassadors for The Sandbox by empowering women leaders in Web3 who can advocate for the platform.

Through cultivating a community of skilled female creators and entrepreneurs within The Sandbox ecosystem and engaging high-profile participants in global events and awards programs, these ambassadors will amplify The Sandbox's message.

Their involvement will be instrumental in expanding The Sandbox's reach and influence throughout the global Web3 community, particularly among women and underrepresented groups, creating a more inclusive and diverse digital landscape.

**Key Objectives**
* STEM Education and Skills: Advance education and skill development for women and girls globally.
* Representation and Leadership: Accelerate women’s representation, leadership, and entrepreneurship in the STEM sector.
* Digital Access and Inclusion: Ensure universal digital access and inclusion for women and girls.
* Ethical Technology Development: Promote the development of unbiased and inclusive technologies supported by appropriate policies and regulations.

**Impact Categories:**
- Skills and Education Impact: STEM program participants, scholarships, and training beneficiaries.
- Professional Impact: Women in STEM roles, leadership positions, and entrepreneurship initiatives.
- Access Impact: New digital technology users and infrastructure beneficiaries.

## Benefit for the Sandbox

**Strategic Benefits:**
**1. Many SandFam have been wanting these features for years.

### How
The DAO will issue a request to the Sandbox Development Team to make both resizing program windows and adjusting screen resolutions a high-priority fix in future version updates.

### When
The expectation would be for TSB to implement the changes within the next two releases of each program listed in the “What” section.
### Who
[MetaWorlds](https://linktr.ee/metaworldsmeta) is a Sandbox Trusted Partner that publishes mini-games to the Sandbox and hosts the SANDDAO Podcast. This makes routine window management for computer users a difficult task that unnecessarily complicates the activities of the users of these programs.

Issues to be addressed:
- Enable resizing through interaction with window borders, allowing users to better manage their windows
- Enable a list of resolution options within graphic settings, providing various monitor setups and ensuring a consistent user experience across all products

## Solution Proposed
![image](ipfs://bafkreidexhqro3q22nnsvzm7svxotoemvp4xyzydbrny2tcgwl54jdk2ea)
Game Maker
* Allow Window Resizing, both horizontal and vertical
* Allow Resolution Sizes that match 420p,720p, 1080p, 2K, 4K

Vox Edit
* Allow Window Resizing, both horizontal and vertical
* Feedback from the Sandbox Product Team is that Resolution Options for Vox Edit doesn’t make sense as it is only a windowed application

Game Client

* Allow Resolution Sizes that match 420p,720p, 1080p, 2K, 4K
* The Sandbox Game Client allows resolution options for some computer setups, but larger monitors still have a restriction
* Feedback from the Sandbox Product Team is resizing is a significant challenge to implement, as the whole UI needs to be adapted to dynamic size and be responsive.

Launcher

* Allow Window Resizing, both horizontal and vertical
* Allow Resolution Sizes that match 420p,720p, 1080p, 2K, 4K

By implementing these changes, we aim to improve the overall usability and adaptability of the programs for a wider range of users and use cases.

* Resizing of launcher windows: Window resizing features are standard to most programs. A software package lacking these capabilities comes off as unpolished to the average end user. As the launcher is the first impression a new user gets of the Sandbox game, a priority should be placed on implementing standard quality-of-life features (such as window resizing) that users have come to expect of all mature software programs.
* Adjustment of screen resolution within the client: Inflexible resolutions within the client regularly cut off portions of the screen for larger resolution monitors, leaving users unable to see or access critical buttons often found near the edges of the screen (such as the “E” equip while viewing inventory in-game, or the “Quit to Desktop” button in the Escape menu).
* Use Case: An example of this would be a VoxEdit artist who wants to resize windows to see a folder list of files next to a picture window of an example asset alongside the VoxEdit program, or a Game Maker who needs to frequently switch to web-based tools, such as the future Magic Palette by the SAND RUSH team. While the Alt+Tab function exists, modern software capabilities make it unnecessary to require users to solely rely on this function.

### Benefit to The Sandbox Ecosystem

Both of these issues are problematic to SandFam Gamers, Game Maker developers, VoxEdit artists, and Studios needing to reference multiple windows, files, and programs while creating content for the Sandbox ecosystem or participating in the Sandbox metaverse. Alleviating these issues will allow for easier creation of experiences and assets and a richer Sandbox experience for all.

This SIP affects the entire SandFam community.
In 2022, Sandbox reported that [1M players played](https://www.sandbox.game/en/blog/2022-year-in-review-one-year-in-the-making-of-the-open-metaverse/3293/#:~:text=1%20million%20unique%20users) the Sandbox. At NFC Lisbon, Seb reported that the Sandbox has 330K creators, with Game Maker having [56K monthly active users](https://www.sandbox.game/en/blog/2022-year-in-review-one-year-in-the-making-of-the-open-metaverse/3293/#:~:text=56k%C2%A0monthly%20active%20users%20on%20average%20throughout%20the%20year), and VoxEdit had [375K installs](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1q3BVXz9v2PVYep4SGH5qQ6uGTpHQiUhp/view?usp=drive_link). In June 2024, NAMRIA estimates that Sandbox currently has 2.3K daily players.

### Risk analysis
This could offset the priority for other fixes. As we do not have access to a Roadmap of future improvements, we cannot know what this offset would be.

### SIP Category
Platform

### Implementation Plan
* The Sandbox Product Team would insert these in each Product’s backlog
* That these improvements be made within the next two releases of each program listed in the “What” section.

### Team/Author Background
Lanzer is a long-time contributor to the Sandbox. The first step is to acquire 100,000 ApeCoins using up to 312,500 SAND to begin participating in ApeCoin DAO governance and fostering cross-community collaboration, driving mass adoption of a decentralised metaverse vision.
# Why
1. Expand Sandbox Influence: Position The Sandbox DAO as a thought leader in innovation and amplify our voice and presence across the Web3 ecosystem.
2. Enhance Collaboration: Foster cross-DAO initiatives, to deliver a more interconnected user experience that aligns with The Sandbox’s vision of building a global, open Metaverse.
3. Grow Community and User Base: Attract users from targeted communities (starting with the ApeCoin community) to explore The Sandbox product and engage with its ecosystem.
# How
1. Acquire 100,000 APE tokens using the treasury
2. Establish a Snapshot subdomain for The Sandbox community to actively engage in ApeCoin DAO governance. Created a dedicated forum category to allow community members to express opinions and discuss AIPs effectively.
3. Following the outlined process in this proposal, community members are encouraged to propose co-branded initiatives with ApeCoin DAO. We will submit the first cross-DAO proposal using this framework, aiming to create a co-funded incentive program to foster and reward co-branded initiatives.
## When
The acquisition of ApeCoin will be completed within one month of SIP approval, subject to market conditions. The governance setup and community engagement launch will be finalised within this timeframe. Within one month of acquiring ApeCoins and initiating governance participation, the first cross-DAO proposal (focused on establishing a co-funded incentive program) will be submitted to The Sandbox DAO for approval. In the meantime, community members are encouraged to submit their own cross-DAO proposals as soon as the ApeCoins are acquired, using the process outlined in this proposal.
## Who
Katherine Webb and Cedric Lion, members of Animoca Brands’ Tokenomics Team, will engage with the TSB DAO admin team regarding the management and exclusion of the SIP. The authors and TSB DAO admin team will ensure active community involvement and maintain clear accountability through quarterly progress reports.
## Council Recommandation
Positive 😊
# Problem Description
Web3’s interconnected nature offers immense potential for collaboration, fostering innovative metaverse experiences and network effects. However, most DAOs operate in isolation, focusing on their goals and missing opportunities for cross-ecosystem partnerships. This siloed approach limits the collective value Web3 ecosystems can generate, especially for projects like The Sandbox, which aim to build an open and interconnected metaverse. Overcoming these challenges requires a scalable framework to facilitate efficient, impactful, and systematic cross-DAO collaborations.
# Solution Proposed
### Cross-DAO Proposal Framework
The proposed framework establishes a systematic process for The Sandbox community to identify, discuss, and implement co-branded initiatives with other DAOs. Key steps include:
1. Identifying Partner DAOs: The Sandbox community discusses and identifies DAOs with which they want to build partnerships. The Sandbox DAO acquires a reasonable quantity of the selected DAO’s tokens to participate in its governance.

2. Governance Integration: The Sandbox creates a Snapshot subdomain dedicated to the chosen DAO. This subdomain replicates the DAO’s proposals, enabling The Sandbox community to discuss and vote on them. A dedicated forum will facilitate debates and discussions around the proposals. Based on the voting outcomes, an appointed delegate leverages The Sandbox’s voting power to vote on the other DAO’s proposals accordingly.

3. Cross-DAO Proposal Process:
 * Step 1: A community member creates a cross-DAO proposal and first submits it to The Sandbox Snapshot for discussion and voting to ensure it aligns with the community’s best interests.
 * Step 2: If The SandboxDAO community approves, the proposal is duplicated and submitted to the partner DAO. The SandboxDAO casts its voting power in favour of the proposal based on the community’s decision.
 * Step 3: The proposal is debated and voted on in the partner DAO’s forums and governance platforms. The prior approval by The Sandbox DAO and the associated debate support the proposal, increasing the likelihood of approval.
 * Step 4: Once both DAOs approve, the cross-DAO proposal is implemented according to the conditions outlined in the proposal.

#### Pilot with ApeCoin DAO
To test and refine this framework, we propose initiating the process with ApeCoin DAO as a proof of concept. The following steps will be undertaken:

1. Acquire 100,000 ApeCoins using SAND, ensuring sufficient governance participation and signalling a commitment to collaboration.
2. The SandboxDAO will act as the delegator for the Sandbox community within ApeCoin DAO and will cast votes based on decisions made by The Sandbox community.
3. Establish a Snapshot subdomain to replicate ApeCoin DAO proposals; create a dedicated forum sub-category to enable debates and community discussions.
4. Actively participate in ApeCoin DAO governance, with The Sandbox community debating and voting on proposals to ensure their voice is heard and their interests are represented.
5. Cross-DAO Proposals: Following the earlier process, any community member can create a cross-DAO proposal by submitting it to The Sandbox for discussion and approval.

Therefore, this proposal establishes a theoretical framework for cross-DAO initiatives and begins its implementation with ApeCoin DAO as a proof of concept. Doing so paves the way for community members to propose numerous joint initiatives with ApeCoin DAO while also setting the stage for acquiring tokens from other DAOs to foster partnerships with targeted ecosystems.

# Benefits to The Sandbox Ecosystem
## Benefits of the Overall Framework
#### Stimulating Cross-DAO proposals…
This framework encourages The Sandbox community to actively debate and identify the DAOs they wish to partner with and the co-branded initiatives they want to implement. By fostering these discussions, we will stimulate creativity, generate fresh ideas, and lead to actionable proposals that align with the community’s vision.

#### … and facilitating the proposals' acceptance…
The Sandbox’s active involvement, demonstrated by acquiring tokens from targeted DAOs and participating in their governance, adds credibility and weight to its proposals. This “skin in the game” approach signals a genuine commitment to collaboration, significantly increasing the likelihood of proposal acceptance.

#### … to unlock the advantages of Cross-DAO collaboration.
By stimulating and facilitating cross-DAO partnerships and joint initiatives, this framework unlocks numerous benefits, including:

* Co-Funded and Co-Branded Initiatives: Greater financial resources, improved visibility, and increased chances of success through shared branding and pooled assets.
* Enhanced User Experience: Joint projects enable innovative, metaverse-like, cross-ecosystem experiences highlighting Web3’s unique value over Web2, driving mass adoption.
* Expanding Audiences: Access to each partner DAO’s community and audience, creating a win-win acquisition strategy that grows both ecosystems.

## Benefits of Pilot Collaboration with ApeCoin DAO:
As a pilot for the proposed framework, we selected ApeCoin DAO due to the numerous benefits it offers:
#### Engaging a Strong, Loyal Community
ApeCoin DAO boasts a robust and loyal community tied to the iconic Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and the recent successful launch of ApeChain. This partnership allows The Sandbox to connect with ApeCoin’s active user base and gain increased visibility by associating with one of the most recognisable brands in Web3.

Powerful Co-Branded Marketing Opportunities
The Sandbox DAO and ApeCoin DAO possess significant financial resources and strong branding. Co-branded initiatives between the two can generate substantial marketing impact, leveraging the combined strengths of both ecosystems. Aligning with ApeCoin DAO enhances The Sandbox’s credibility and opens the door to impactful co-marketing campaigns and joint projects.

#### Interoperability and Cross-Ecosystem Experiences
This collaboration paves the way for innovative cross-ecosystem experiences that leverage the strengths of both platforms:

* Sandbox Experiences with Apecoin Assets: Create immersive experiences in The Sandbox using Ape ecosystem assets and IP to attract and engage the ApeCoin community.
* ApeChain Experiences with Sandbox Assets: Integrate Sandbox assets into ApeChain to expand interoperability and utility.

These initiatives foster deeper user engagement by enabling in-game items and assets to gain functionality across platforms, enhancing the overall user experience and reinforcing the value of Web3 interoperability.

# Risk analysis
![SIP-20-risk.png](ipfs://bafybeigljqh2ucmmk2jwmhqxhy257bqyb6dx4bdv5k2nxcoz3rxwotrqry)
# Budget requested

Total Maximum Requested: Up to a maximum of 312,800 SAND (250,200 SAND estimated cost + 25% buffer for any additional expenses)

![cost.png](ipfs://bafkreicbqr7teqs57thnfcnx25ljf2566jcmpbtqtdagjh2wkxwcyrnb3e)

# Implementation Plan
![milestones.png](ipfs://bafybeidhsualui35aye227r6dybxgsrvc7jl5bir4jjw7mmn4uny3fnbha)

## KPI’s for Success
![kpi.png](ipfs://bafybeiemzpd5c44tkk5hizcsd7ltzdamdt46fqnoois6bit4kmfbvvm7gq)

If KPIs are not met, then the authors and the SandboxDAO team will review the SIP and its success after 1 year to see if any amendments and refinements should be made.
=> More info on the linked forum discussion
Yes","No","Abstain
[5660319.156302323,34210901.31021595,3073532.6149022933
4808.76614631563,20124.08618943197,3282750.0000000014,342000.0000000001,603.1439665700002,2010033.1600000008],[11537.75258260694,322158.19006484986,4963950.000000002,7839000.000000003,210294.10091739256,20863961.266651098],[146.3601272776227,71336.9958117881,982800.0000000002,18000.000000000007,0,2001249.258963226
https://forum.sandboxdao.com/t/cross-dao-collaboration-framework-phase-1-ape-governance-participation/1579/2
